Monolithic ladle linings
Researchers at Pasek Espana SA have developed a range of spinel and calcium hexaaluminate bonded alumina refractories. The products are stated to be cost-effective and environmentally compatible, and to increase the lifespan and reliability of wall and bottom ladle linings in secondary steel treatment areas. The refractories are said to be ready for commercializing in monolithic and gunnable forms.
