    Ionomer resins

Thermoplastic ionomer resins based on ethylene acid copolymer have been developed and commercialized by A Schulman Inc, USA. Called Clarix, the resins are used for packaging film, as well as blow moulded, injection moulded and coating applications. They may also be used as a polymer additive to improve the performance of existing resins. Further, the resins can be used as an adhesive binder for both woven and non- woven materials.
