Toho Tenax acquires Acordis’ US carbon fibre business
The Japanese carbon fibre maker Toho Tenax Group has bought the US-based Fortafil carbon fibre business of Acordis, The Netherlands. The purchase includes a production plant in Tennessee. As a result, the company name will change from Fortafil Fibers Inc to Toho Carbon Fibres Inc.
