Strong growth for PE and PP in Middle East
Plastics production in the Middle East is expected to increase significantly in the next few years to meet global demand. Between 2005 and 2010, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States are predicted to start-up 5.65 Mtpa of PE and 3.95 Mtpa of PP, while 2.03 Mtpa PP and 1.8 Mtpa PE will start-up in Iran over the same period.
