Particulate filter to be retrofitted
DaimlerChrysler, Germany, is to retrofit a ceramic diesel particulate filter (DPF) to its Mercedes-Benz passenger automobiles. The silicon carbide (SiC) based DPF will be available in the last quarter of 2005, for the Mercedes-Benz C- and E-Class models.
