    Improved insulators for Hall thrusters

    Scientists working on behalf of the US Air Force Research Laboratory’s Materials and Manufacturing Directorate have identified a number of advanced ceramics that could increase the life of Hall thruster insulators for spacecraft, including satellites and microsatellites.
