Wear resistant reinforced aluminium
Adal Group Inc, USA, has developed a metal matrix composite (MMC) made of aluminium reinforced with titanium carbide (TiC) particulates. Components made from the MMC, which is called Ticalium, are strong, wear resistant and hard.
