    Human clinical trial scheduled for local bone regeneration

    Aastrom Biosciences Inc will start a human clinical trial for the evaluation of the company’s tissue repair cells (TRCs) to form new bone tissue in the spine, following approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). It will be carried out under an Investigational New Drug (IND) application and will start out initially at a single clinical centre—the William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, USA.
