Johnson & Johnson still committed to buying Guidant; declares definitive agreement
The bidding war between Boston Scientific Corp and Johnson & Johnson (J&J) appeared to be over as of 13 January with the announcement by J&J and Guidant that they have reached an agreement, under which J&J will acquire Guidant for US$24.2 billion in fully diluted equity value.
