Achilles expands application of plating on plastic by nanomaterial

A technology developed by Japan’s Achilles Corp in 2006 to plate the surface of plastic with nano-dispersed polypyrrole (PPy) solution is now being applied to produce electromagnetic wave shielding film, transparent film antennae, integrated circuit tags and similar products. The company hopes to commercialize the process by spring 2008.
