Polyimide parts developed for increased wear needs in areospace
A range of part compositions, based on a durable, high-performance polyimide polymer, Vespel®, which are said to improve life, reduce weight and lower costs in jet engines and aircraft systems, have been introduced. Key application areas include wear, seal and insulator parts for compressors, augmenters, auxiliary power units, pumps, valves and selflocking fasteners.
