    Ceramic composites for hypersonic, supersonic travel

    Researchers at the University of Queensland (UQ) of Brisbane St Lucia, Australia, are testing composites that they have developed to see if they can withstand the high temperatures experienced by hypersonic vehicles in flight, so they can fly for substantially longer periods.
