    Process for depositing alumina on silicon carbide to be used on hypersonic vehicle

    A chemical vapour deposition process could be employed to deposit thin films of alumina on a silicon carbide composite to be used on the National Aeronautic and Space Administration’s (NASA) next-generation hypersonic vehicle.
