    Carbon fibre-reinforced plastic telescope structure passes cryogenic tests

    The composite structure of the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA’s) James Webb Space Telescope has survived exposure to extreme cryogenic temperatures— proving the structure will remain stable in space.
